About the Penticton Online Marketplace Initiative

Penticton Online Marketplace – Shop Local

The Downtown Penticton Association has created an Online Marketplace where shoppers can find and support our members’ local businesses. The platform is one more tool for our members to use to promote their businesses and generate revenue through online sales during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Our goal is to showcase an array of local businesses in one convenient place as a means to enhance your online sales revenues. The Online Marketplace is an easy way to connect your customers and new shoppers to your business while highlighting the availability of your products and services.

There is no financial cost to you for participating. We know our members are seeking ways to support one another through this challenging time; we believe this new online platform can help.

What’s Required to Participate?

Each business must have an active website or social media platform where we can direct shoppers.

Provide the DPA with a description of your business, direct link(s) to the website or social media page of choice, and business contact information.

Businesses must:

  • ensure the link provided to us for use on the online marketplace takes customers directly to products/services pages
  • be able to take payments
  • arrange with customers how best to convey the purchased goods/services

What if My Business Doesn’t Have a Website or Social Media?

Downtown Penticton Association’s team is able to assist you in setting up a business Facebook account.

The company must provide all content and pictures and maintain their own websites/social media accounts.
