Integrated Community Services
Integrated Community Services (ICS): a partnership between the different social service agencies in the City of Penticton that is committed to proactively engaging our community to meet shared targets of holistic best practices. By bringing together the different social agencies (such as, but not limited to, South Okanagan Women in Need Society, Soupateria, RCMP, Salvation Army, Workzone and more), ICS has been able to better help those in our community because we are all working together.
A great result of this committee is the Street Survival Guide, a pocket sized booklet filled with information on where to get help for addiction, violence, accommodation, clothing, food and more. The booklet was created with financial assistance from the City of Penticton and the South Okanagan Brain Injury Society with help from the staff of the Downtown Penticton Association and the input of ICS.
