Façade Upgrade Program

Upgrade your façade, and receive financial benefits

As we come to the conclusion of the construction period for the 200 block revitalization, the City of Penticton and the Downtown Penticton Association want to take this opportunity to remind all businesses and property owners of the Downtown Façade Improvement Incentives. This is part of the Downtown Economic Incentive Zone Program.

How the program works is: when a façade is upgraded, with a construction value over $5,000, a tax exemption equal to the amount of money spent is provided on the next tax year’s (and subsequent years) owed taxes, until the exemption is used up. The more you spend the bigger the tax incentive.

The program is available to only 5 facades in the Downtown per year and runs until 2018.
