Bees and the Bare Bones is a Canadian band from British Columbia, comprised of Madison Olds and Abby Wale. Maddie and Abby began individually by playing indie-folk music and joined efforts to develop an alt-country/folk sound. The band formed in July 2016 just in time to make the submission cut off for the 2016 Chevy Tailgate Contest. They made their group music debut at the Big Valley Jamboree in Camrose, Alberta. As the 2016 Chevy Tailgate winners they went to Nashville where they recorded at the Sound Emporium and connected with industry professionals like Paul McGuire, CMT, Brad Stella and Angaleena Presley.
Luke Wallace is a 24 year folk musician and activist from Vancouver, BC who has spent the last 4 years touring the coast using his music to amplify the voices of communities fighting to protect their way of life and the systems that sustain them. Luke has shared his music internationally in Paris, France at the COP21 and more recently in Costa Rica at a Young Climate Leaders conference. In 2017 Luke will be performing all over Western Canada including performances at The Vancouver Folk Music Festival and Kispiox Valley Music Festival.
